The SD33 is a 3.3L (3,246 cc/198.1 cu in) Straight 6 diesel engine, most known for its use in the Nissan Patrol MQ (160 series) from 1980-1983 and the Nissan C80. nissan-sd25-engine-manual 3/7 Downloaded from on Octoby Jason e Grant File Name: nissan-sd25-engine-manual.pdf Size: 3365 KB Type: PDF, ePub, eBook Category: Book Uploaded: Rating: 4.6/5 from 566 votes. Featured five main bearing crankshaft & redesigned Straight 6 It produces 73 SAE hp 4300rpmįitted to Nissan 720 pickup trucks 1983 through 1986 and first year D21 Nissan pickups in 1987.Also fitted to Nissan Cabstar. The SD23 is a 2.3L (2289 cc) Straight 4 diesel engine with 8 valves (2 per cylinder), and a distributor type injection pump. In 1981, pistons were upgraded to a three ring piston with a steel compression ring carrier cast as part of the piston for improved durability. The engine has three main bearings (an SD33 six minus two rear cylinders) and was never available with turbocharging like its six-cylinder derivative. The SD22 was used in the Datsun 720 pickup trucks 1980 through 1983, producing 61 SAE brake horsepower 4000 rpm. It was used in the 1965-1971 Nissan Cedric It was also produced in a marine version MN 22 by Chrysler Marine under license during the 1980s. The SD22 is a normally aspirated 2.2L (2164 cc) Straight 4 diesel engine.

The Diesel version Nissan Cedric in mid 1960s was using this engine.

The SD20 is a normally aspirated 2.0L Straight 4 diesel engine. While Nissan sold the SD25 in the D21 chassis in Canada for 1987, they are considered quite rare, and parts must be ferreted out - Nissan can be difficult to deal with when trying to use "1987" and "SD25" together! Also, all 1987 IPs seem to be the VE-style, with completely different plumbing and hoses. The Engine was also used in the UD 3400 series light truck, large forklifts, Marine applications, in International Scout offerings from 1976 to 1979,as well as Jeep CJ-10 and Cj-10a flightline tow vehicles from 1985 to 1986. The exception is a SD25 in a few D21 in Canada, 1987. In USA, the SD25 was never fitted to the D21 "Hardbody". I suspect the year and where it was going may dictate what fuel application was required. They used the SD25 in the 85 and 86 720 pickups in the US although they were not fitted with the same fuel pumps as the D21s that came to Canada. I'm not sure which year pump, you are talking about.
